Advancing Indigenous equity through research and collaboration

indigenous equity lab

The Indigenous Equity Lab is situated on the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful to the Coast Salish Peoples and support their inherent rights to these lands.

our vision

We strive to ensure that Indigenous voices and traditional knowledge are not just included, but placed at the centre of health equity research.

about us

The Indigenous Equity Lab, led by Dr. Bingham (shíshálh Nation), is a program of Indigenous research dedicated to advancing Indigenous health equity.

Our mission is to support Indigenous women's health, gender equity, revitalize traditional wellness practices, amplify Indigenous voices in health, respond to the impacts of climate change, and nurture capacity-building and mentorship for the next generation.
